JAYESH PATEL (Founder)
Jayesh is the inspiration behind AWARE, which is a broadening of a Trust he established in honour of his mother following her death in 1986. In a relatively small way, the Trust was successful through care and rehabilitation projects, in supporting the rehabilitation of many severely impoverished children in India. Jayesh was keen to seek additional funds from the wider Indian community in the UK and it was this desire that underpinned the creation of The AWARE Foundation.
RAJESH BHAT (Co-Founder)
The small support team in India is led by Rajesh Bhat. Through various charitable organisations, Rajesh has dedicated his adult life to the improvement in the welfare of some of the most impoverished children in India. His contacts are many and global. He deals with political and academic institutions in his quest for the social improvements he seeks.
Rajesh deals directly with the children that AWARE helps and the Foundation feels totally secure that, through his total commitment and excellent work, donor funds are used in an entirely appropriate way.
TRUSTEES
The AWARE Foundation is a Charitable Trust registered in the UK on 3 July 2007 and formally launched on 27 June 2008.
PRASHANT PATEL (Trustee)
Prashant is an enthusiastic supporter of AWARE. He offers administrative and practical skills. Prashant was formalised as a Trustee in 2009.
ALLAN BLAYDON (Co-Founder)
Allan joined Jayesh at the outset of setting up AWARE. He offers support from experience he has gained in business in both the UK and India.
